2014 Reunion Highlights – Dallas-Ft.Worth, Oct 1st – Oct 4th

My wife, youngest son, and I were excited to attend the 2014 USS Calvert Associates reunion, held this year in Dallas-Ft. Worth from October 1st to October 4th. Saretta Rowland (wife of Gerald Rowland, ’51-’54) did a wonderful job organizing the reunion in her home town area.

The Dallas News, Irving Blog posted a brief article highlighting the Irving Mayor’s visit with the group on Thursday evening.

Here are photographs highlighting the events and attendees.

If you served on the USS CAlvert in WWII pacific theater, you need to explore the connection of Cancer to your service. The VA is accepting claims based on your service in pacific and japan. My Grandfathers cancer was connected to radiation exposure from the atomic bomb, because he was on the ship and it was in the radiation zone. he passed away many yrs ago(in his 70’s)

please explore this for your surviving spouces. my grandma now gets a monthly payment that was well earned.
